Just unloaded a Bisque load from the kiln. Never as exciting as a glaze but none the less it means glaze coming soon. I have feverishly made a lot of small plates and other slab pieces and now need to make some mugs as I am almost out of inventory. This morning I wedged up 25lbs of clay into 700g. balls for mugs and then prepped all of the bisque ware - cleaning up any burrs, highlighting my signature on the bottom of pieces, and waxing. All a bit therapeutic and methodical.
I like the methodical and organized work flow. I keep my tools in the same place , my water ergonomically located by the wheel and the rest - predictable.
