It's all about the BUTTER

In our house it's all about the butter. We prefer salted butter and our favorite butter is Kates from Maine. I have supplied my family with receptacles for our butter in a variety of shapes. Rejects and winners, large and small. 

Mostly I make round wheel thrown butter dishes, that double as cheese dishes. I also make some hand-built rectangle ones that accomodate a stick. Here is my "french" butter keeper. I get asked all of the time for them but never seem to get around to making them. After some in-house testing , my highly experienced butter connoisseurs (family) will need to approve the size, shape and overall technical design first..... so stay tuned.
